The Outfit:

a simple denim dress

... an easy pair of cute cutout flats

The Room:

light, bright, and cozy.

The View:

...endless charming fields and hills galore.

I just want to…

... sit under the sun and give thanks to God for all my blessings

...go to an adorable bakery for afternoon cupcakes.

... and let loose a little with my sweet family.

i can’t believe i haven’t been on a fake getaway since february.

no wonder i feel sluggish.

i’m going to lie in the sun atop my personal balcony, talk to Jesus without any rushed feelings, and eat a couple too-cute cupcakes inside a shabby chic bakery. and then go for a long walk with hubby and nugget in a lavish field, laugh, play, give loads of kisses and hugs, spins and horsey back rides, and take dreamlike sun flared pictures until it sets.

i’ve already packed our bags. and hubby promised to barely listen to any talk radio on the way down. and i promised not to listen to too much enya when i get sleepy. and also to try not to get sleepy 20 minutes in to the drive.

just lovely.

* although this getaway is exceptionally fake, my priorities are quite real and i plan to do each one this weekend albeit in a different location

The Outfit

The Room

how sweet is this bed. pink & white are such a lovely couple.

The View

we'll be surrounded by green-green grass and big trees with magnetic twisty character

a bike ride under the sun sounds so wonderful right now. especially when the bike matches my outfit.

this fake getaway is going to be very breezy. (note: simple dress)

i just want a lovely bed to take a nap in, probably alone because my husband states very clearly that naps are for losers.

i’m (almost) sure he kids.

after my nap i want all of us to go on a little bike ride. and of course he can have nugget in an attached baby seat in the back. that way if we get chased by a mean dog (one of my top ten fears) he can peddle way faster than me as i shout, go, save yourselves!

i digress. cuz i could really get carried away with that whole scenario.(think: book deal)

after our bike ride we’ll sit under a huge tree with the sun sifting through the branches and watch nugget run around with his one arm shrugged up and his neck tucked, like some kind of miniature pirate. i am sure there will be a few times when the hubby will tell an abnormal joke and my unsolved high pitched laugh will echo through the land, stopping bugs in their tracks.

we’ll go back to the room and have soft macadamia cookies without nugget noticing.

and then i’ll take another nap with nugget, he’ll be very tired from such sun and play and i’ve just been a sleepy-ditz in general this week.

what a comfy day…

well, time for a fake getaway. i’ve packed my fake bags and everything fits perfectly. we’re headed to an elegant b&b located in a town that’s about 75 degrees today. oh and there’s a breathtaking feather grass field right in the back yard. goodness, this would be is going to be enchanting.
