i had planned on writing a longer, more important post.

but unfortunately, as i was taking the chicken nuggets out of the oven this evening, i burnt my arm with the cookie sheet.

i blamed it on the fact that i presently only have one oven glove but the real reason is that i was trying to be skillful by flipping the nuggets by hand while holding the cookie sheet.

why would one do this you ask?

i asked around. nobody knows.

it’s one of those things you don’t think about while doing, but after something horrible happens in the process of it, you marvel at your unsolved stupidity.

a little bit all over the place

my mouse for my computer is broken and my laptop is as good as a square rock with keys.

i really tried hanging on to my big dinosaur of a laptop, which i bought shortly after i got married (6 years ago), but it’s time to say goodbye.

i won’t miss it too much considering it’s been out of whack for so long, i’ve only turned it on every now and then to go through the same motions:

1) listen to all the weird revving up sounds that go on for all eternity

2) press the internet icon and stare at the sand timer for all eternity

3) watch the internet slowly come to life, one box at a time

4) press my mailbox icon

5) listen to all the weird revving up sounds that go on for all eternity

6) break 7 pencils over my knee and run off wailing to my bed with failing posture

i’ve been wanting to dance today.

so badly that when rockin’ robin came on (by Micheal Jackson, when he was a wee little lad) i almost busted out some moves. but for two reasons i changed my mind

1) i was at a stop light

2) there was no one in the car with me

i think it’s only ok to dance a little in your car when you are with someone. and if it’s someone who shares your enthusiasm, you can do all the corny things like point to each other with both your pointer fingers like “your turn sista!” and laugh super hard even though it’s not really that funny but it’s dumb funny so it just has no direction but more and more weirdness. and i stress “a little” when i say “dance a little” i’ve caught some people dancing in their car and i’m afraid their elbow is going to burst through the window.
