just paged through the new Ruche lookbook today & wow! so very pretty!

makes me want to buy a few new dresses.

& then go to a field.

& just stare at everything very pensively.

& of course i would love it if a little birdie landed upon my finger.

but i’d probably get a bit overwhelmed amidst that many butterflies. just because i get scared of groups of things that can fly. or else swarm me. & possibly make some sort of giant web to smash me in.

and i know butterflies don’t make webs, but in nature, i can be slightly irrational and exhaustively imaginative.

yesterday was lovely. about 62 degrees! me and nugget went outside and he walked around with his bubble maker till it ran dry. i love bubbles. especially in sunshine, very therapeutic. and the great thing about the bubble maker that i bought him is that he doesn’t have to try to blow out a bubble, which is sorta hard at his age and he always ends up eating it. he just keeps pressing the handle up and down and voila! tons of bubbles! he has a blast doing all the work and i just lie there like a queen watching his efforts float around me. it’s quite enchanting, really.

i am very much pmsing so i really needed the sun and fresh air. i feel so much better when i have wide open spaces to be grouchy in.

i really love the idea of having a pretty dry erase “board” like the one above.

and i also love the idea of writing positive & cute messages on it.

i finally get to leave the house today, for a little while.

but it’s so cold that i’m probably gonna turn into the tin man (pre-oil can) as soon as i step outside.

i was just thinking about the very first typewriter i ever bought and what the heck happened to it?

it’s so weird to not remember what happened to something that was so special and so not small.

i mean, it’s not like losing a ring or even a shirt.

rings can slip off your finger and fall down drains.

shirts can be left at your friend’s house and then she starts wearing it so much that you just decide to let her have it. geez.

but a typewriter? how did i lose a typewriter?

i didn’t take it anywhere.

well, except college but i remember bringing it back… the laughter ringing in my ears. stupid computer people. i mean, i know i have a computer now but i didn’t back then so that’s what i called them. now i just call them normal people.

so, maybe one day it’ll just dawn on me. and then i’ll just laugh and laugh. or not laugh. that’s a toss up.

i hope you had a great monday.

i have my first sewing class tomorrow and am very excited. i took sewing years ago & feel like father- time when i try to remember what i learned.

so time to re-learn!

i got everything above for about eight dollars at Target.

i really love the apron since it has hearts. and ruffles. and pockets! i love pockets, especially concealed in lovely skirts and dresses.

and i love hearts. to the point that i feel like i could have a very long and giddy conversation about them with a twelve year old.

and ruffles, well, what girl doesn’t like an appropriate scrumptious ruffle?

i got all of these items in the bins, right where all the dollar stuff is, only these items are $2.50.

the sun is actually shining so my house doesn’t feel like a cave.

and my juicer and new piano lesson book came in the mail so i’m pretty excited!

i loved Domino Magazine.

and then, poof! it went away.

i didn’t even get to say goodbye.

anyway, Lonny Mag is very reminiscent of Domino, in my opinion

i only wish i could subscribe to it for like 12 dollars like i did Domino

i get the whole save the earth thing, but no one is going to convince me that reading my books and magazines on a screen is better

i want to hold and feel what i am reading, i want to view it “live” in front of me & not get cross eyed headaches and see double of my child every time i’m done.

but, that being said, i love Lonny so much that for now, i will page through their online mag with minimal complaints, since it’s pretty fabulous. i know they offer printed copies but the price tag is a bit, um, well…

i’ve got so many Christmas gift ideas, it’s madness! just paging through all my latest magazines, going to my favorite etsy shops, and browsing other blogs… i tell ya, there is no shortage of lovely things around here.

all the items above are $30 or less! isn’t that just smashing?

i am highly considering getting the dress for Christmas, i think it’s perfect with the long sleeves and contrasted romantic skirt, love it.
