my sister and i have this saying when one is about to do something or else is doing something like say "oh, i gotta go to the store and buy a cake" & then the other will say "oh, you're cool!" not sure if we made that up, seems like we did. it's a dumb-funny thing. anyway, this picture is a definite... "oh, you're cool!" picture. especially with my lovely very white tan line upon my left boob. i'm so cool! i look so short here. mostly cuz i am, but still.

i love love love this photo. he did this all by himself last summer and then proceded to watch tv with all his friends. that tiger beanie baby is such an eye sore, but oh well. i can't give him away, yet.

doesn't this look wrong? but the question is, is it? i don't know. when your child wants to hang out with a CPR doll it's pretty hard to say no just cuz you don't like the looks of it. i can't exactly tell him that. so they were bff for a while until suddenly, by golly, that doll just put himself back in a box.

i sent this photo to my sister via email, after she told me i don't wear enough makeup (for like the hundreth time, so rude!) i never know what to do with my mouth in close up shots so i decided to confuse her & myself with this peculiar "oooooh mouth". and you know what she wrote back after all this trouble? "i really still can't tell you're wearing makeup" whatever. i'm not turning into RuPaul. this is it. love it, or shut it.

it's things like this that i will miss when nugget is older. even though i am a neat girl, i don't mind toys and books here and there. they make me smile. when i was leaving my office one afternoon i saw this & instantly got my camera. it just looked so sweet, i love it.

i made this with picnik.com's help for editing. we took this last year with a self timer, it was not easy! the words are from an excerpt of a poem i wrote about a girl and a guy finally getting each other forever! yay & yum.

i’ve been wanting a kitten ever since my cat Chunky was sent off to that place where parents say they’ll get adopted but since you’re not five and you know your cat is old and jumps on screen doors and pees on favorite things, she doesn’t stand a chance.

i miss you Chunky! not everything about you (read above) but mostly everything! and i still have your clump of hair that i chopped off while sobbing, & it’s in the same tin can with your tags. i’ll never throw it away. i said i’d only throw it away if it started to smell or talk to me, so far so good.

so. yes. i want a kitten. my husband does not. he wants a dog that is so big it could sit on me and kill me. & so he can promise me stuff like he’ll clean up after it & take it out for the grossest thing dogs do. but he won’t, cuz i’m a stay at home mom and we all know that I will end up doing the dirty work by default. & then he’ll get to do all the picturesque stuff like running in fields with bright frisbees & taking it for car rides so he can stick his head out of the window and his ears will go perfectly airborne like some endearing Norman Rockwell painting.

so. no. he is not getting a giant dog.

how will i ever get my cat?

i’m not sure. but i will say this, there is no way that i am living the rest of my life cat-less.

i won’t be sneaky. since we all know sneakiness leads in to more sneakiness until you are living a total lie. not that i ever have, but i have lived a white lie before and that was so tricky, geez, my conscience would explode if i ever tried to be really bad.

so we’ll see.

i’ll get my little cuddly jane.(named her already, of course)

i love this boy so much

i'm pretty sure he loves me too.

i am still sick.

i am sure i grossed out a lot of people yesterday at the grocery store, coughing in every aisle. i do cover my mouth completely, but i sound like George Burns and my shoulders lunge forward in a very peculiar way. almost as though i’m headed somewhere, but only the top portion.

nugget loves dancing, jumping and holding on to my neck. we pretty much do all three everyday, aside from those “crazy” days that lend us no option. i made a decision when i had a baby to dance everyday with him. he even has his very own playlist. (adorable!)

first picture, with the books i found. i wanted to look smart, hence the clenched jaw smirk.

now children, gather round. this is what grown up ladies do when they are trying to take creative pictures in an antique store but can't think of a good idea. this is called... say it together class... A Bad Idea!

was this that funny? no. but for some reason, i found great joy in it.

back home with the picture i bought. i really love the frame.

once again, laughing like a spaz. i can't even remember why.

i went antiquing today with my mom.

i planned on taking pictures of anything really interesting or something i adored. but unfortunately, i didn’t. not because i couldn’t but because i remembered a bit too late. i’m not used to taking pictures while i antique and judging from the turn out, it’s probably for the best i don’t.

but anyway, when we were just about finished, i remembered.

and look-ee what we got here. a bunch of weird photos.

but i do love the picture i bought and i got nugget this itty bitty plastic train toy that he loves, some really nice books for him when he gets older, and a really old piano book for me too. everything for under 15 dollars. such deals!

i had a nice time. but i was so hungry by the time we left.

then my mom offered me peanuts and i was like- ok! yay peanuts!

and then right when i popped them in my mouth she was like

- now those aren’t salted you know.

and i was like – oh. gross. and i choked them down to my utter dismay.

but other than that, yes, a very nice day!

i promise we are a happy family. although this picture makes it look as though i'm in some la la land of ignorant bliss while hubby and child know the dim truth.

today i finally get to eat ravioli and a fannie may.

tonight i finally get to go out a little with my family.

and then i finally get to sleep in a little tomorrow as i am assuming the husband will take my 5:30 spot on the couch as nugget hops up and down in the glare of the tv as if it’s the afternoon. and though i love his little voice dearly, so many questions at such an early hour can make one eat pillow fluff.

i love warm weather.

it’s not that i am a grouch in the winter

but in warm weather i do feel different

an essence that sweeps over me and makes me feel a way that i just don’t feel in the cold weather.

i was looking at these pics the other day and they just made me so happy.

this day was so fun, (last july). i ran down that hill about a dozen times with nugget and i’m sure i made too many attempts for that lousy jumping shot. we were with my mom and sis and nephew.

i wanted to share these outtakes from my up and coming book. just so you can see the thrill i get from being a nerd. the objective was to run through the field with a pensive look on my face but since i was wearing 3 inch heel mary janes, i kept tripping and it’s hard to look thoughtful while falling. i had a lot of fun that day.
