so, nugget is sick. not terribly, he’s much better today.

yesterday his fever was higher and he was very sad.

he’s sleeping right now and that means he’s healing too.

i’d like to get this not-yet-released book for him.

a couple weeks ago i opened up a vintage craft book that i got at an antique store (for fifty bitty cents!) and i made him these paper finger puppets, a dog and a bunny, he preferred the bunny since she had a cute little cotton ball tail and the dog just had a tail that i drew that actually had no tail characteristics but rather looked like a rotten bratwurst.

anyway, he played with those little things for so long and it just made me marvel. it’s not that i needed a book to tell me about paper puppets, i knew they existed. but it’s the sort of know that is tucked so far away in my memory bank that i might not ever remember it while he’s young but most likely on his wedding day sob out, why didn’t i ever make him paper finger puppets!

SO.

i’d like this book for him. i’d like us to make stuff all summer long. and take pictures of him with each thing before it ends up in the trash and then make him a memory book filled with those pictures.

i hope he’s all better tomorrow, i’m not the same till nugget is.
